Code of Conduct
At Dutch Barging Services B.V. (DBS), our commitment is to deliver safe, reliable, and sustainable
transport solutions across Europe’s inland waterways. This Code of Conduct defines the values and
principles that guide our daily work and decision-making, ensuring we act with integrity and
responsibility towards employees, customers, partners, and society.

Health, Safety & Environment
Safety is our highest priority. DBS complies with European inland waterway safety standards
(including ES-TRIN and CCNR requirements). We aim for zero accidents, promote safe working
practices onboard and ashore, and maintain a drug- and alcohol-free workplace. We commit to
minimising emissions, preventing spills, and supporting EU Green Deal objectives for clean
transport.
Human Values & Workplace Conduct
We value diversity and inclusion. Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation are not tolerated. We
strive to provide equal opportunities, fair treatment, and a respectful workplace for all employees.
Business Integrity
We operate with honesty and fairness. Bribery, facilitation payments, or improper gifts are strictly
prohibited. Conflicts of interest must be declared and avoided. We comply with EU and national
competition laws.
Compliance & Governance
All employees must respect applicable laws and regulations, including EU inland waterway
transport rules. Financial transparency and accurate reporting are mandatory. Confidential
information and intellectual property are to be safeguarded at all times.
Communication
Only authorized representatives may speak publicly on behalf of DBS, including through media or
digital channels. Communication must be accurate, responsible, and aligned with our values.
Responsibility
Every employee is responsible for following this Code. Concerns about unethical behavior should
be reported to management. Violations may result in disciplinary action.

This Code of Conduct sets out principles for conduct within Dutch Barging Services B.V. It does not
create legal rights for third parties.
